Warriors Offense and the Art of the Screen

I’ll start by saying that I’m not a Warriors fan, in fact I’m a die hard Lakers fan. But the fact is the Warriors are the face of today’s NBA and have defined a new play style and have caused a shift to a more fast paced game, positionless players, as well as an increase in the use of the 3 point shot (although I’ll also say the ‘06 Suns were some of the first proponents of this shoot/offense first mentality).

Never the less, back to the point. If you have ever played organized basketball then you know the importance and effectiveness of screens. I’ve seen countless teams who were more talented than their opposing team but except the opposing team won the game because they were well coached and used screens to their advantage.

Charleston summer training with Coach Taku


This is Charleston Moore – 6’4″ Forward out of Santa Ana, CA.

Recent transfer to Villa Park HS and after working with Coach Taku all summer is looking to make a big splash on the OC Hoops scene this year.

This summer we mostly worked with him we mostly worked on his strength & conditioning, slashing techniques as well as improving his range.

Lookout for Jordan this year. Lethal 3 point shooter looking to make big headlines this year in the OC Area!

Jordan is 5’10 PG out of Santa Ana that attends Tustin HS. This summer Coach Josh worked with him on his ball handling techniques, attack moves, speed & agility, strength, as well as quick shooting release.

2016 Ballislife Jr All American Camp Re-Cap

Evolution Basketball was again invited to be apart of Open Gym/Ballislife’s Jr All American Camp featuring some of the best talent from across the nation with 600 of the top 2nd-8th grade hoopers in the country!

This year we were given a team of 6th graders adn had a record of 4-2. With 5 of our players selected in the top 60. 3 in top 20 with 1 all star selection in Jacob Forrester other top 20 was Everrett Bryson and Quincy, 2 top 40 in Emeka Ceaser, and Micah Leslie, and top 60 selection KJ Gonzalez Jr.
